DEEP BLUE

Majorelle Blue is a clear, intense, fresh blue…

One of the top activities in Marrakech is the Jardin Majorelle.

This iconic botanical and lanscape garden full of colors was made in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle an avid plant collector.  After years of neglect, the garden was then taken over and restored by the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge.

Such an “instagram spot” for tourists, as well as myself! Although I had to go through a 30min long line to get in, the garden wasn’t too much crowed, and I felt at peace walking around and looking at this luxurious nature around me. Banana trees, groves of bamboo, coconut palms and many more exotic plants fills this garden. And of course the famouse Majorelle Blue surrounds the garden bringing more emotion to the experience.

I’me sure you’ve already guessed that I dressed the part by wearing one of my favorite Monki trench coat which happens to be a shade lighter from the Majorelle Blue, perfect for pictures right?! As far as the rest of my outfit, it was quite cold that day so I went for a striped long sleeve bodycon midi dress from Asos and chunky lace up espadrilles.
